I was drawn toward wildlife photography while dating my wife, Maris. As a natural scientist and environmental educator, Maris took me on countless hikes in the woods of Western New York where I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature. She also introduced me to the joys of birding, which has become a major focus of my photography.
Most of these photographs were taken with my Canon 7D while adventuring in Western New York, South Florida, Philadelphia, the New Jersey shore, and across Europe.
